Anniversary Rêveuse

So believe it or not, today is the one-year anniversary of the Rêveurs Revelation Fashion Project!  Fabulous, right?

First, I want to say how grateful I am to everyone who has participated in this along with me, either in pictures or on their blogs or just by doing it in their shy, subtle way, dressing the part with a whisper in my ear and a Mona Lisa smile each month.

Second, congratulations to the people who found out about this jaunt and then read The Night Circus and fell in love with it.  (You’re welcome.)

Third, thank you also to the people who have encouraged me to keep doing it.  I have been thinking about this project quite a bit lately, what with the anniversary of it approaching and all, and I’ve decided I am going to continue to dress in black and white with a touch of red on the 13th of every month.  However, I don’t know that I’m going to continue posting pictures of myself doing it.  I have to admit, I’m getting a little burnt-out on my own silly mug.  I’ll continue to show up here for some of the Fashion Friday posts, particularly when hat season begins, but I’ve decided it’s time to take the RRFP in a slightly different direction after this point.

I’ve been thinking about what I could do for it that would be interesting and interactive.  A few ideas have come to mind, and I’m still working out the mechanics of them, but I’m really curious as to what ideas you might have.  How shall we continue to celebrate the late-Victorian magic realism wonder that is this book, or else just the late Victorians?  Or just magic realism?  (I’m open to contests as well.)  Any thoughts?

Here’s my anniversary rêveuse picture.

I went back to school full-time today. You don't even want to see my face.
I went back to school full-time today. Summer is officially over, and I still have so much summer work to do. You don’t even want to see my face.

If you want to share some ideas, please do so in the comments section of this blog or on my Facebook page or through Twitter or an email to me (forest.of.diamonds at gmail dot com).  If you send me an email, please put “RRFP IDEA” in the subject line so I’ll be sure to see it quickly.

And again, thank you!
